CBS became Europe’s top distributor of imported drama series in 2011. The Imported Drama Series in Europe report states that 4,861 hours of CBS output were aired in primetime across 119 channels in 21 territories. Warner Bros was second, with 3,891 hours. CBS was also the leader across the whole day.


 
The value of imported drama series for European broadcasters was $5,990 million in 2011 for the 119 channels (nearly all of which are free-to-air) across 21 territories covered in this report. Although the total has remained stable over the last three years, plenty of changes have taken place between the broadcasters and between the distributors.
