Clyde Steamers (Ian Allan Glory Days Series)

An examination of the history of the Clyde steamers from the 1870s, when the vessels were designed with passenger comfort and pleasure trips in mind, through to their final demise in the 1970s. The book concludes with a survey of some of the vessels which replaced the steamers. For all who remember these special ships, or who have sampled trips on the preserved 'Waverley', this publication will be a reminder of a long-lost era.
