SHIPPING & RETURNS
Currently, shipping is free on all standard orders over £30.00 when delivered to UK mainland addresses. Shipping for all other orders is based on size, weight, location and delivery method, and is calculated by the shopping cart.
NORMAL SERVICE
All items listed on the site are in new condition. Titles held in stock items are normally despatched within a day of receipt of your order, and you will probably receive your order 3 to 5 days after despatch. If a title is not in stock our system displays a message on the product's description page, to safeguard against ordering out-of-stock items inadvertently. Occasionally however mistakes regarding stock holding might be made, and we will advise you of this and offer a solution.
OVERSEAS ORDERING
NORMAL SERVICE - SURFACE MAIL
Stock items are normally despatched within a few days of receipt of the order. Deliveries by Surface Mail can take anything from 2-3 weeks to Europe to 12-16 weeks to Australia, New Zealand, the Far East and South America.
ECONOMY AIR MAIL
For a faster delivery, items can be sent by Air Mail to Europe, or Economy Air Mail to destinations beyond Europe. Economy Air Mail normally gives a delivery time of 10-14 days, but this is subject to delays at Customs and local delivery services.
IN CASE OF ERROR OR DAMAGE
Should there be a problem with your order please contact us so that we can advise you of the most efficient means of dealing with the problem. If appropriate, we will advise you how best to return the order to us and arrange a refund or credit, if you prefer.
Please note that DVDs are non-returnable unless faulty.
STOCK AVAILABILITY
All titles on this site are either in stock or, to the best of our knowledge, can be obtained for you within 7 to 10 working days. Availability of individual titles is shown on the item description page. However, owing to the number of titles on the site and ever changing publishing schedules we cannot guarantee that every title is in stock at all times. Please contact us if you have any questions about the availability of individual titles.
If you place an order for a title that is out of stock we will contact you before proceeding with your order. Typically, your order will be recorded and the item concerned will be supplied as soon as we are able to obtain it. In the case of titles which are not yet been published, this will be made clear in the description of the title and, again, your order will be recorded and supplied as soon as the product becomes available.
In either case, please note the following:
If a payment has been made for an out of stock title, we will on your instruction offer a refund or hold your order until it is in stock.
We will do our best to remind you from time to time that we are holding an order for you, and to give you the latest information we have.
If we are informed by the supplier that a title is no longer available, we will advise you of this, cancel your order and offer a refund if necessary, before removing the item from the web site.
Although we currently source all our titles from publishers in the UK, some specialist publishers are quite small and may not be able to turn orders around quickly. We will place all orders on your behalf in good faith but some patience may be required.
NON-DELIVERY
Whilst we do try to despatch orders promptly, please allow 14 days before enquiring, in case the particular title you have ordered is temporarily out of stock. In the event of any item which you have ordered and paid for becoming unavailable from the publisher, we will provide a full refund.
PRIVACY NOTICE
Data Protection Act
We record on our computer system the name, address and contact details of each of our customers, together with information concerning the purchases made. This information is used purely to enable us to handle orders and to make relevant information available to customers. This information is not made available to other companies or individuals. Credit card details are not retained on our site.
PAYMENT METHODS
We accept payment using any credit or debit card supported by the leading secure web payment provider, PayPal. We will also accept cheques drawn from any UK bank account.
VAT
Many of our titles are zero rated for VAT. Where VAT is included this is shown on the price.
TRADING POLICY
It is always our intention to deal with all of our customers promptly, efficiently and fairly at all times. However, as we stock hundreds of titles with varying availability from publishers with differing supply policies, problems may occasionally arise. We will endeavour to keep you informed about the status of your order and will do our best to inform you of any delays. We always welcome suggestions about how we can improve our service.
