Hornby R4446 BR Intercity 125 Mk3 Trailer Guard Standard (TGS): W44039
Mark 3 coaches first introduced in the 1970s for use in the new BR High Speed Trains (HST125) for inter-city mainline services and later introduced for loco hauled sets which had end buffers fitted.
Coaches carrying the designation "InterCity 125" were only used within an HST formation - suitable power cars R2701.
"TGS" type "Trailer Guard Second" coaches are used within High Speed Trains (HST125) to provide accommodation for the guard and are usually positioned with the the Gurards accommodation next to one of the HST power cars.
Suitable for curves of 2nd Radius (438mm) or greater.
